Scholarships! – Part II
If you read my post last week, I talked about scholarships available for all CU students through the Office of Financial Aid. Because the College of Arts & Sciences has the largest enrollment of the various schools, I gave some info for A&S-specific scholarships. But don’t feel gipped if you’re not in Arts & Sciences – this post will be devoted to you. In fact, you’ll probably need scholarships MORE than an A&S student will, because A&S has the cheapest tuition! Descriptions of the scholarships and their application processes are below each picture:
- This school gives out over $350,000 each year to approximately 200 students. Like with the MyCU scholarships I mentioned last week, Leeds has one application for all of their scholarships. The application period will open December 17, 2012 and will end March 11, 2013 at midnight. It will be available on the website given above. - The School of Engineering gets a very large amount of money from alumni, friends, and industry groups to put towards scholarships. The school offers a whopping $2,000,000 in scholarships to its students each year. Most are merit-based – head to THIS page to learn more about them.
- Applications for scholarships from this school are due in early April. For an idea of what it will look like for the 2013-2014, look at last year’s application HERE .
- This school has no formal scholarship application. Freshmen are considered automatically for merit-based scholarships, as long as the application materials are turned in by their deadline. Continuing students are also considered automatically every year.
- Like the College of Music, the CU Law School automatically considers their students for scholarships. The school also maintains a website with links to private scholarships HERE.
- This school has some friends in high places, because it has $185,000 to give out as scholarships each year. In addition to these, you can receive 1 of 7 awards worth $10,000 if you’re a junior or senior in the school. These are new, and will be funded for at least th enext 18 years.
