Withdrawal Refunds

If you formally withdraw from CU Boulder and have paid tuition and fees, you may be eligible for a refund depending on how early in the semester you withdraw (see withdrawal calendar). Refunds are returned about six to eight weeks after the end of the withdrawal period.

If you paid by credit card, the refund goes back to the credit card company.

If you return to CU Boulder Main Campus (including return from Leave of Absence), you will need to pay the confirmation deposit again during your first term of enrollment. Failure to do so will prevent you from registering for future terms. You will not be billed for the confirmation deposit. See instructions for paying the confirmation deposit as a returning student.

For information about the academic and financial impact of withdrawing, visit the Office of the Registrar.
